Request data deletion for HouseControl.at
This page describes how users of the HouseControl.at app can request the deletion of their account and personal data.
1. Deletion directly in the account
- Log in to HouseControl.at.
- Open your profile.
- Select the “Delete account” section.
- Confirm deletion with your password.
If active residential properties or administrative roles are still assigned to your account, a prior transfer or clarification of administration may be required before deletion.
2. Request deletion via email
If you no longer have access to your account, please send an email to stephan@landsteiner.info.
Please provide the email address of your HouseControl.at account in the request and state that you are requesting the deletion of your account and your personal data. For security reasons, we may request additional information to ensure that the request actually originates from the affected account.
3. Which data will be deleted
After a confirmed deletion request, we delete or anonymize personal account data, provided there are no legal, contractual, or legitimate retention reasons to the contrary. This may include, in particular, the following data:
- Name, email address, phone number, and profile details
- Login and mobile access tokens
- Assignments to residential units, provided they are not required for administrative records
- Notification and App Settings
- self-created content such as messages, comments, or attachments, provided that deletion is legally and organizationally possible
4. Data that may be retained
Certain data may be temporarily retained if legally required, necessary for fulfilling contractual obligations, or needed for documenting property management processes. This may include, in particular, invoices, contracts, security, misuse, support, or administrative records.
These data are stored only as long as the respective purpose or a legal period requires. Thereafter, they are deleted or anonymized.
5. Processing duration
We typically process deletion requests within 30 days after confirming identity and authorization to make the request. If a request is complex or requires additional verification, we will inform you about the further process.
